My choice oles (in order of preference) are: Hospitality 1. Grand Floridian 2. Contemporary 3. Polynesian Recreation 1. At any resort Character Attendant 1. Magic Kingdom 2. Disney Hollywood Studios 3. Animal Kingdom Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Merchandise (they asked me in the interview if I would be interested. I said, yes, but only at the very bottom of the list)

Do you know where I can see like a map or something of all these places you could work? I have never been to WDW so I have no clue where i'd want to work. Also, what's recreation? I watched the video but I saw 'Operations' and I couldn't tell the difference.

Posts: 981 (03/04/09 12:40:34) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Attractions is working the rides/shows in the parks and Downtown Disney (the abbreviations I used are Jungle Cruise, Great Movie Ride, and Beauty and the Beast show/High School Musical show/Block Party Bash parade/Fantasmic show). One good site for seeing all the rides and stuff is http://www.disneyworld.com. Recreation is either at the water parks or at the resorts. Finally, pin trading is where CPs in some roles can trade pins with guests. It is a great bit of guest interaction (as some guests go crazy over the pins). Character Attendants assist the character(s), keep the queue line in order, answer questions for guests, help take pictures for guests, and stuff like that. Character attendants can work in all 4 parks (although recently, CPs have just been scheduled in 1 park). I don't really have any cons about this role. The really only bad part is having to close the lines and tell people they can't see the character. I also worked 6 shifts at the MK). I got to work with the Power Rangers, the Cars, and all of the Playhouse Disney characters. My second choice of a park is the MK. Hours were not bad at all. For the most part, the characters are in by 6-6:30pm (there are a few locations that have characters out late, but not many at all). I worked about 7-8 hours a day on average. The shifts would start somewhere around 8-10 am, and go to around 5-6 pm. It was great! The interviewer said I had to know ALOT about WDW to do that. I think my lack of knowledge (only been there 2 times) is what cost it for me. If I do a second program, I am going to apply for that again.

I added two things at the convincing of the intervewier, so I applied for all these positions (she really didn't ask for an order, unfortunately, so I am really eager to see my position!) Character Attendant, Attractions, Hospitality, Full Service Food and Beverage, Transportation and Recreation. I spent a lot of time researching, in my opinions I think any of these jobs would be just fine, depending on location.
